Any medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries that you had before purchasing the insurance policy. Coverage for these may be limited or subject to specific terms.
• Age (on start date) – up to 85 for Standard and Enhanced Plans (No age limit for Basic Plan)
• Period – 365 days (730 days for Monthly Payment Plan). Extensions are available
• Deductible: $0; $100; $250; $500; $1,000; $5,000 and $10,000 per period
• The $2,500 “disappearing” deductible applies to each sickness-related claim (per claim)
• Waiting Period for Illness:
– 0 days if purchased before arrival in Canada
– 72 hours if purchase within 30 days after arrival
– 7 days waiting for sickness after 30 days
– 15 days for age 86 or older and purchased after arrival
– No waiting for accidental body injury
